![]() This cable is probably one of the only solutions right now unless you purchased a very expensive router, and have a wonderful ISP for Virtual Desktop or Link. I do recommend for anyone that is going to be using the Quest Pro as their daily driver PCVR headset. The headset stayed fully charged, and I was able to play until I just wanted to get off for the day. That night I restarted the kuject cable process, and it worked flawlessly. ![]() I decided I really didn't need two keyboards, and unplugged the larger one + ordered a USB card. I had a bunch of devices plugged into my PC, and was overloading my USB controllers. ![]() This is where I ran into issues when I first used the cable. After that, you must connect the kuject USB C end into your headset, and make sure it's charging. The official charging base cable must be plugged into the kuject box first because it will activate the "smart chip" inside. The process that they tell you to do on Amazon in the product description is completely accurate (You MUST do this every single time)! Before I have added a USB card to my PC I was running into some issues which I will explain in a moment. I purchased the kuject cable, and have been using it for a week now on, and off. What have you tried to get the most out of your Quest Pro? Does your battery drain fast when hooked up via PCVR? How is your latency via air link, and virtual desktop? If we could make one definitive thread for solutions that would be great. I just want this to work out so bad considering I just picked up not one, but, two of these headsets. I do have some latency issues as well which I'm sure could be fixed with some troubleshooting. Granted, my router is older - but I still get up to 900/1G speed. Which is a surprise because my computer is literally not even a foot away from my router. Both of these are very buggy, and jittery for me. I've tried air link, and I've also tried virtual desktop. So, when they are supported we will still be suffering from battery issues. A lot of these new features aren't supported by via PCVR just yet, and I know that. What's the point in buying it then at that point? These people are turning off all of the features that this brand new mainstream headset has to offer. Questioned people that are also using it PCVR, and they always tell me that they have no issues with battery discharge when hooked up using the official link cable. I've searched high, and low for solutions. It drains so fast that every single time it gets down to the point I have to take it off to charge, I feel like I barely had even put the headset on! Now, don't get me wrong, I love the Quest Pro. My biggest, and probably only issue with the Quest Pro is that the battery is awful. ![]() Open Applications folder and run Code Blocks app. dmg file to install Code Blocks on macOS. Yes, Lightworks is free - at least a version of it is - but if you want to take advantage of all the features this video editing software has to offer, you’ll need to pay for the privilege. Any version of Lightworks can decode all of these, leading to improved real-time editing not only on Macs, but also on Windows and Linux computers using such files. We can’t go back and check if this was the case back then, or if this is a new addition, but either way, adding clips on multiple layers is much easier than we’d initially thought, It could be easier still, as other video editors automatically shift the audio to the right location, but Lightworks’ method does offer you a little more flexibility, for more advanced users.Īn advantage that was introduced with the latest version (v2022), is support for Apple’s ProRes codecs, ranging from 422 Proxy right up to 4444 XQ. I just never had gone all the way back to Boys in the Band, and it was my loss. As I mentioned, my history sort of began with those pieces. I remember when I was a freshman in high school, I read Torch Song Trilogy and then I got into Larry Kramer and Tony Kushner and people like that. Had you seen the play before reading the script? I actually hadn't. Because when we do, these are the repercussions." ![]() We can never repress human beings and whoever their true nature is as long as it's not criminal and hurting anybody else. My hope is that they would look at it and go, "Oh, my gosh. All I can do is try to play it as truthfully as possible and not get seduced by just making it a Golden Girls episode. I can't say what they're gonna find from the piece. And that's what we have to try to stay true to, you know? But it is going to be this dialogue once there is an audience there. But there's also a real pathos beneath that. It's so hard to be - and it's gonna be a really seductive thing once there is an audience there, because I think they're gonna be interested in coming and seeing people serve tea to each other at this dinner at this birthday party. Then for you, perhaps, a modern viewer would see this and think, Wow, look how far we've come? I would hope so. So everywhere they turned, they were being met with "Who you are is wrong and unacceptable." And then so those arrows start to go inward towards themselves and then be projected out to their closest relationships. There were real stakes to these situations for them in their lives. There was really this law where men who were gathered together had to have at least one woman with them and they had to be dancing three feet apart. And when they couldn't go out in public and even be seen dancing together. When their analyst was telling them that they had a psychological condition that was tantamount to bestiality - comparable to bestiality, the way we think of that now. This is how people were behaving with each other when society was telling them that who they were was fundamentally wrong. So I don't know that I look at it as something of "Oh, what hasn't changed?" To me, it really is a period piece. It's just been so progressive in so many ways. I think so much has changed exponentially, especially in the past five years. What do you think is still true about gay relationships that hasn't changed since then? Oh, I don't know. I also, just in my experience - I'm 40 now - but in my experience, coming of age as a gay man, I've definitely seen echoes and a resonance of these relationships and how these people were dealing with each other and themselves in my interactions with people. That time period was really interesting to me, and the more research I did about that time period the more I understood why these men were behaving the way they were. Including a lot of the actors of that show. We lost a lot of that generation to the AIDS epidemic. It was either hidden in the shadows or in apartments like where this birthday party is taking place. ![]() And it's actually really hard to do in-depth research on it because so much of it is lost. While the current iPhone 15 series tops out at USB 3 support, there’s always hope for a future model, perhaps an iPhone Ultra of some kind, to be outfitted with a faster Thunderbolt 5 support. ![]() There’s a lot of data being transferred at 4K resolution when you think about it, but it only becomes more complex with 8K resolution - so Thunderbolt 5 is better suited for this. If you think 10 gigabits per second is fast, it’s slow in comparison to Thunderbolt 5’s mind blowing 120 gigabits per second speed.įor example, the current Thunderbolt 4 standard supports two 4K monitors for video, but Thunderbolt 5 unlocks the potential for multiple 8K monitors. Intel announced this new standard recently and it’s the next iteration of the USB-C interface. Don’t get us wrong, USB 3 is incredibly fast at 10 gigabits per second, but it pales in comparison to what Thunderbolt 5 will offer down the road. What’s next for USB-C?Īs you can see, both USB 2 and USB 3 standards have been around for a long time, which makes anyone wonder why Apple didn’t opt to go with something faster. These are claims made by Apple, but we'll put them to the test during our review process to find out if they're accurate. The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro take 30 minutes to get to a 50% charge using a 20W power adapter, while the larger iPhone 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max take 35 minutes to get to 50%. All four models, the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max have the same charging speeds as their predecessors. What’s odd is that there’s no improvement whatsoever to wired charging on any iPhone 15 model - including the Pro models, which have the faster USB 3 transfer speeds. Wired charging continues to be the fastest option to recharge the iPhone 15 series, and with USB-C in tow, it’s a strange affair between the two sets of iPhones. Transfer speeds are important, but equally so are USB-C charging speeds. What are the USB-C charging speeds for the iPhone 15? Media in particular, such as photos and videos, will inherently get a boost because the faster transfer speed of USB 3 allows the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max to send 48-megapixel ProRAW images and 4K 60fps video from the devices to a Mac significantly faster than on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Apple says that data transfer with USB-C on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will offer transfer speeds up to 10 gigabits per second - making it much more ideal for professionals that need to transfer large files. ![]() The most notable benefit for USB-C on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is USB 3 support, which is twenty times faster than USB 2. At the same time, users could leverage the USB-C ports in the iPhone 15 series to charge the AirPods and Apple Watch. ![]() Secondly, laptops and Android phones have long adopted USB-C, but another inherent benefit is that people would only need to bring one charging cable along with them. While longtime iPhone users may be annoyed by this, especially if they spent a lot of money over the years on Lightning accessories, this switch is actually good for many reasons.įor starters, USB-C has become the definitive connection for many of today’s gadgets. However Apple has until the end of 2024 to comply with the new smartphone rules. The deadline for adopting USB-C differs depending on the device, with laptops being given until 2026 to comply. The idea here is to cut down on e-waste, ensuring people can continue to use their old chargers long after they switch to a new device. ![]() Late last year, the EU passed legislation enforcing a common charging port on a bunch of electronic devices - including phones, tablets and cameras.
